University Center, MI------------ The Pioneer Jamboree is entering the 3rd year hosted by Coach Carlos McMath and it looks to take a big leap. "The main purpose of our jamboree is for the college teams to measure their players against other competition and gain some exposure for their players and programs" according to Coach McMath. Although evaluation is great, exposure matters a lot ". . . . it is always great to get 4-year college coaches to be on our great campus to recruit guys for all teams" stats McMath.
This year's schedule includes arguably the best prep team from Canada in Orangeville Prep, who have 5 players with NCAA Division I offers/interest. In addition, to Orangeville Prep, Spire Institute returns for their second appearance at Delta and bring a talented group with multiple Division I athletes, including Florida State Commit Zim Nwokeji. Other prep schools in attendance are Athlete Institute Black & Red teams, and London Basketball Academy, who all have great talent and skill from Ontario.
Some of the most talented and well coached community college teams from Region 12 will be participating including defending MCCAA Regular season Champions Henry Ford College led by Leon Ayers. Other MCCAA Conference teams include Delta College, Wayne Community College District, Glen Oaks Community College and Alpena College. Rounding out the completion is Bay College from Escanaba, MI who represents NJCAA Region 13.
