Delta College Men’s Basketball Tops Jackson College, 90–87

The Delta College men's basketball team earned a hard-fought road victory on Wednesday night, defeating Jackson College 90–87 in a tightly contested matchup that came down to the final minutes.
Delta jumped out to a strong start, taking a 52–43 lead into halftime behind an efficient offensive performance and steady ball movement. Jackson responded in the second half, outscoring the Pioneers 44–38, but Delta's early cushion proved just enough to hold on for the win.
Sir Real Smith led all scorers with a dominant performance, pouring in 35 points on 13-of-25 shooting, including 5-of-8 from three-point range, while also grabbing nine rebounds. Brady Belcher provided a major lift off the bench, finishing with 19 points and knocking down three triples of his own.
Doydas Kačinskas added a well-rounded effort with 12 points and nine rebounds, while Amari Taylor chipped in 11 points and eight boards. At the point, Jaylen Carthan facilitated the offense with an impressive 10 assists, helping Delta rack up 23 assists as a team.
Defensively, the Pioneers forced key stops late and capitalized at the free-throw line to seal the win. Delta finished the night shooting 48.1% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc, showcasing a balanced attack and strong composure in a hostile environment.
