Flint, MI - Delta College faced a tough road test on Monday night, falling to Mott Community College, 93–69.
The Pioneers battled early, trailing 43–31 at halftime, but were unable to slow Mott's efficient offense in the second half. Mott shot over 50 percent from the field for the game and used balanced scoring to pull away after the break.
Delta was led offensively by Dovydas Kačinskas, who finished with a team-high 17 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc. Darrion Youngblood added 15 points, while Brady Belcher chipped in 10 to round out the Pioneers' top scorers.
Despite solid effort on the glass and stretches of strong defensive play, Delta struggled to find a consistent rhythm offensively, shooting 37.5% from the field and 34.4% from three-point range. Mott capitalized at the free-throw line and continued to extend its lead throughout the second half.
