Delta College Pioneers Take Third at Muskegon CC Invitational

The Delta College Pioneers men's golf team finished in third place at the Muskegon CC Invitational, held at Stonegate Golf Club in Twin Lake, Michigan, on April 21, 2025. The team posted a total score of 322 (+34) in the event, just four strokes behind second-place GRCC Raiders (318) and eight strokes behind the winning Montcalm CC Centurions (314).

Leading the charge for the Pioneers was a trio of standout performances. Owen Halstead, Carson Shampo, and Owen Wendt all carded rounds of 77 (+5), tying for fourth place individually. Their solid performances helped Delta secure its third-place finish.

Kevin Groulx contributed with an 83 (+11), finishing tied for 21st, while Odin Medrick's 85 (+13) earned him a tie for 29th. Nathan Cleghorn and Jake Look rounded out the Pioneer roster with scores of 86 (+14) and 90 (+18), respectively.

The tournament was closely contested, with Montcalm's Ethan Johnson and Kenny Mitchell sharing medalist honors after each shot a 73 (+1) to top the individual leaderboard.
