Delta Hires Joel Prince as the new Men's Golf Coach 

Delta College is proud to announce the hiring of Joel Prince as the new head coach for the Men's Golf Team. Prince brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the golf industry and a proven track record of success as a professional, instructor, and competitor. 

A PGA of America member, Joel has worked with hundreds of students through private lessons, clinics, and seminars. He is known for combining traditional instruction with innovative technology, including virtual reality-based swing modeling, to help players develop fundamentally sound and repeatable golf swings. 

Prince is a tournament winner in the Michigan PGA Section and has competed on a national level. His accomplishments include winning an automobile, recording seven holes-in-one, and setting four course records at prestigious Michigan courses, such as: 

  • The Dunes Club, New Buffalo, MI (69) 

  • Spruce Run, Grand Traverse Resort, MI (64) 

  • Chikaming Country Club, Lakeside, MI (63) 

  • The Fortress, Frankenmuth, MI (64) 

His professional background includes serving as Head Golf Professional at nationally recognized golf clubs and being a founding member of the award-winning Lost Dunes Golf Club in Bridgman, Michigan. Under his leadership, Lost Dunes debuted as Golf Digest Magazine's #3 Best New Private Course and is now ranked as the #4 best course in Michigan.

In addition to his coaching duties at Delta, Joel Prince will continue offering instruction at Saginaw Valley Public Golf Course, where he helps golfers of all levels improve their games through complete assessments in driving, irons, chipping, and putting.
