Softball's Maddie Gentry Signs to Sienna Heights

On Thursday, April 18, 2019, The Lady Pioneers sophomore pitcher, Maddie Gentry, signed to Sienna Heights University to finish out her athletic and academic career, hoping to get her Bachelors of Biological Sciences. 

For the last two years, Maddie has been solidified in the Pioneers lineup.

Her freshman year she could be counted on as a power and spot hitter to DP flex whenever she was needed. She also had a strong sophomore pitching class in front of her, but could come in and close whenever she needed to.

Maddie continues to impress her sophomore year as well. In the circle she has accumulated 49 strikeouts and an impressive 2.79 ERA. Gentry keeps batters on their toes with her ability to change speeds effectively. At the plate Maddie has gotten 15 hits so far this season, making up her .268 batting average.
