Bio
Petoskey was the assistant coach for SVSU softball for their 2021-2022 Season.
She helped SVSU to a 36-20 overall record, while posting a 17-10 record in the GLIAC. The Cardinals defeated Grand Valley State University to win the GLIAC Tournament Championship and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals. Petoskey helped coach eight student-athletes to All-GLIAC honors four landing on the All-GLIAC First Team, while two awarded Second Team and Honorable Mention All-GLIAC.
Petoskey is an SVSU softball alumni, playing for the Cardinals from 1991-93. She helped the Cardinals to a fourth place finish at the College World Series in 1992. She was named All-Tournment for the St. Leo University Invitational in St. Leo, Florida that same year.
She has many years of travel ball coaching as well as 12 years of high school coaching experience and is a native of Ida, Mich., where she won a high school state championship as a player in 1989 and was honored as an All-Conference and All-State outfielder.
Petoskey earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology from SVSU in 1994. Following her career with the Cardinals, Petoskey established a career as a nursing home administrator She earned a master's degree in Health Leadership from SVSU in 2010.
Petoskey has been married to her husband Dave for 29 years, they have one daughter named Audrey, have hosted 8 exchange students, and just completed their first season as a billet family for the Saginaw Spirits. They reside in Saginaw, Mich.
