Women's Basketball names Kim Melick as Associate Head Coach

Delta College Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Kim Melick as the new Associate Head Coach for the Women's Basketball program. 

A 2002 alum of the Delta College Women's Basketball team, Melick returns to where her collegiate athletic journey began, bringing with her a wealth of experience, leadership, and a vision for the program's continued growth and success. 

A native of the Great Lakes Bay Region, Melick graduated from Bay City Western High School before attending Delta College. Following her time as a Pioneer, she transferred to Saginaw Valley State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, and later a Master's degree in Health Care Administration and Management.

Playing here during the 2001 & 2002 seasons shaped not only my love for the game but also my commitment to teamwork and leadership. After two years officiating for the MHSAA, I'm thrilled to be back on the bench where I can help foster the winning culture that defines Delta College. This program means so much to me, and I'm excited to mentor our student-athletes, share what I've learned, and contribute to a season filled with growth, grit, and pride." - Kim Melick

Melick's return marks a new chapter for Delta College Women's Basketball, as she steps into a key leadership role aimed at fostering player development, academic excellence, and program advancement.
