Pioneers Remain at the Top After Win

Game Outcome: 
Delta College hosted the GRCC team that they had just played three days before.  Delta would score four goals in the first half to give them an important lead.  They would score four more goals in the second half to earn a 8-1 victory.  This win brings Delta's record to 10-0-0 in the conference and 12-0-0 overall, which keeps them in first place in the MCCAA.

 
Standout Players of the Game:

The two goals and two assist by Rhianna Schermerhorn led the Pioneers to another conference victory.  Emily Bucholtz added 2 goals along with Kaylee Shattuck added one goal and 2 assists to secure this win.

Highlights from The game:
Four first half goals, and smothering defensive play was important for this conference victory.  The Pioneers remain in a 1 game lead in the MCCAA standings.

Coach's Comments:
Coach Damon Amey was happy with this important win.  With this victory, we continue to stay on top of the conference standings.  We are focused and dedicated to keep our game at the highest level possible.

Adjustments for the next Game:
Delta will continue to work on offensive creativity, accurate passing, and the ability to play a controlled combination game in the final attacking third of the field.  The Pioneers will be traveling to Lake Michigan on Sunday the 24th.  The Pioneers currently have a #3 National ranking.
