Isabella and Kendall Named to 2024 Junior College Women’s Division III All-American Team
Delta College's Women's Soccer Team celebrated a historic milestone as two of its standout players, Isabella and Kendall, were named to the 2024 Junior College Women's Division III All-American Team on December 12, 2024. Their remarkable performances throughout the season earned them this prestigious recognition, cementing their legacy as two of the program's finest athletes.
Isabella's Stellar Season
Isabella, a dynamic forward, delivered an extraordinary 2024 season that showcased her ability to perform under pressure. She tallied an impressive 33 points, including 16 goals, 4 of which were game-winners that secured pivotal victories for the Pioneers. With a sharp .667 shot percentage, Isabella demonstrated not only her scoring prowess but also her efficiency in capitalizing on scoring opportunities. She further contributed to the team's success with an assist, solidifying her role as an indispensable offensive force.
Kendall's Consistent Excellence
Kendall, another key contributor to the Pioneers' success, excelled in her dual role as both a scorer and playmaker. She accumulated 22 points during the season, scoring 8 goals, including one game-winner. Kendall's vision and creativity were on full display as she registered 6 assists, consistently setting up her teammates for success. Her .296 shot percentage highlighted her precision and ability to make her attempts count in crucial moments.
Honored at the All-American Ceremony
The recognition of Isabella and Kendall culminated in a prestigious event on January 11, 2025, in Chicago, IL, where they attended the All-American Ceremony. Accompanying them was their head coach, Damon, who was also celebrated for his exceptional leadership. Coach Damon and his staff received the coveted "National Coach and Staff of the Year" award, further underscoring the program's excellence during the season.
