Women's Soccer names Blair Wright Associate Head Coach

Delta College Athletics is excited to announce the addition of Blair Wright to the Delta College Women's Soccer coaching staff. Wright joins the program as the new Associate Head Coach, bringing energy, experience, and a strong connection to the Mid-Michigan soccer community.

  

A native of Bridgeport, Michigan, Wright grew up in the Saginaw area and is a graduate of Birch Run High School. Her local roots and playing background make her a valuable asset to the program as it continues to grow and develop.  

 

Blair signed to play collegiate soccer at Trine University, an NCAA DIII school located in Angola, Indiana. While playing for the Thunder, Blair was a captain and helped her team to their most successful seasons in school history, playing in two conference championships as well as making the NCAA tournament. After her senior season, her class was deemed the most successful group to come through the program, only losing 5 games at home in their four years.

With our Women's Soccer team coming off their unbelievable season of winning their second national championship, I have no doubt that Blair will continue to add to our championship mindset for our Women's Soccer program. Being a former collegiate player at the NCAA level, Blair has the knowledge and insight of a former collegiate soccer player to help our Delta College Women's Soccer Student-Athletes soar on and off the soccer pitch. I'm really excited to have Blair on our staff. She has a lot of desire to be a good coach and a great work ethic. She will be a great addition to our Delta College Soccer program - Head Coach Damon Amey
