Delta College Women’s Basketball Dominates Kellogg CC, 101–46
Battle Creek, Mich. — The Delta College women's basketball team put together a complete performance Saturday night, rolling past Kellogg Community College 101–46 on the road.
The Pioneers set the tone early with a 27–11 opening quarter and never let up, extending the lead to 50–28 by halftime. Delta continued to control the game on both ends of the floor, outscoring Kellogg 31–9 in the third quarter to put the contest firmly out of reach.
Makayla Watkins led all scorers with 21 points, adding an impressive 14 rebounds for a double-double. Aya Mosley followed with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Alexis Schlatter chipped in 12 points and 7 boards.
Delta's depth was on full display, as the bench combined for 41 points. Olivia Nickson provided a spark off the bench with 13 points, while Bella Smith added 10 points and 8 rebounds. Fiona Meisel contributed eight points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers.
Defensively, the Pioneers were relentless, forcing 30 steals and holding Kellogg to just 46 points on the night. Delta also owned the glass, outrebounding the Bruins 55–24, and shared the ball well with 14 assists.
