Celebrating the Delta College Pioneers’ 2025 NJCAA Division III National Title.
On Wednesday, December 3rd, the Delta College Women's Soccer Team was formally recognized on campus after securing its second consecutive NJCAA Division III National Championship and third title in program history. The Pioneers capped off a dominant season with an 18-0-1 overall record, outscoring opponents by a staggering 106–5.
The championship match once again featured a familiar and fiercely competitive opponent in Brookhaven (16-2-3). After a tightly contested regulation period, the game was decided in dramatic fashion. Sophomore Isabella Workman delivered the golden goal in the 97th minute, burying the lone score of the match and securing the national title for Delta. The overtime winner came amid a tense stretch of back-and-forth chances for both sides.
Delta's defensive backbone, goalkeeper Mia Warner, played a pivotal role throughout the contest, recording seven saves to preserve the shutout.
Brookhaven held a 6–2 shot advantage in the first half, but Delta stormed back with a strong response, controlling the second half with a 6–3 shot margin before riding that momentum into overtime.
With the win, Delta concludes one of the most dominant seasons in program history, remaining unbeaten while showcasing balanced excellence on both ends of the pitch. The Pioneers were further recognized through several postseason honors:
Damon Amey earned Coach of the Tournament
Abigail Hendy, Brooke Swartz, and Alahna Beckett were named to the NJCAA All-Tournament Team
Isabella Workman earned Offensive MVP
Mia Warner was selected as the tournament's Overall MVP
